Trilogy Health Services Grants Dream of KISS Fan

Resident of Stonegate Health Campus to Attend Concert and Meet Band

In the world of music, there are fans, there are super fans and then there are people like Chris Reinert. A resident of Stonegate Health Campus, a Trilogy Senior Living Community in Lapeer, Michigan, Chris lives and breathes KISS. Their faces growl and pout at visitors from every surface in his room. Their music is kept on constant rotation in his CD player. On the back of his wheelchair, a sparkling KISS license plate proudly advertises the band’s world domination. Ask anyone who knows him and they’ll say Chris preaches the gospel of KISS to everyone he meets. His KISS concert memories are some of his most cherished, but since his muscular dystrophy diagnosis, Chris has resigned himself to the fact that he’ll never see KISS perform again. Trilogy Health Services’ non-profit organization Live a Dream is changing that.

On March 9, Chris will be attending a very special KISS concert at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a fan that has been there from the beginning, it’s fitting that he’ll be there in person as Gene, Paul, Tommy and Eric step onto the stage in their iconic platforms to celebrate their final tour ever. For the first time since his diagnosis, he won’t just be watching Tommy shred on his TV screen or listening to Gene and Paul wail on his albums - he’ll be in the crowd, singing the lyrics of his favorite songs alongside fellow members of the KISS Army.

The experience of attending one last concert in person is a dream-come-true in itself, but when Shane Stuber, Trilogy Health Services’ AVP of Foundation & Workforce Development, paid Chris a visit to break the news, he brought an extra surprise. In addition to receiving four tickets to see KISS perform live, Chris was presented with two backstage passes. All at once, the man who couldn’t stop talking about KISS was at a loss for words. Shane’s visit coincided with Chris’ 53rd birthday, making it one he’s sure to remember for the rest of his life.
