New Location Product of Partnership with Accura Healthcare
LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 8, 2019 (Newswire.com) - PCA Pharmacy, a customer focused and innovative provider of complete pharmacy services, is excited to announce the opening of their 8th location, based in Urbandale, Iowa, effective May 1, 2019. PCA also anticipates continued expansion in the Southeast and Midwest.
PCA’s new location is the product of a new partnership with Accura Healthcare, a growing provider of Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Hospice services in 21 locations throughout the Iowa market. At each Accura nursing and rehabilitation center, PCA Pharmacy will be providing its innovative pharmaceutical services, including its Meds-to-Home and Meds-to-Beds programs, which focus on providing customers with a smooth transition from the hospital to a Skilled Nursing facility and then back home. In addition to helping to reduce recidivism rates and increase patient satisfaction, these programs are perfectly suited to the shifting senior housing industry, especially as the Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) goes into effect in October 2019. PCA anticipates hiring approximately 20 new employees to staff their new location, with additional positions projected as the company grows.
